James F. Byrnes High School is located in Duncan, S.C., and was established in 1955. On the football field, the Rebels are 11-time South Carolina state champions. Byrnes will pay its home football games at a newly-rebuilt Nixon Field on the campus in Duncan. The new stadium is set to open in August of 2025. Famous football alums include legendary head football coach Bobby Bentley and former South Carolina Gamecocks running back Marcus Lattimore.
